【Overview】

- It took a whole year for Izukura to plan this exhibition. He tried to ask people if they could find any difference between “the Nature observed by men” and “the Nature observed by Nature”, using their senses: seeing, hearing and touching.
-Textiles (braided Obi, Kimono, braided small products, Ra fabric, tapestry, braided dress, scarves, shawls), ceramics, papers, display loom and dyeing samples were on display. All works were made from his Zero Waste philosophy, using up everything and no preference from human thought.
- This exhibition supported by the United Nations Associations Kyoto, indicated to make 21st century as “the century of environment” through its display and workshops. It also made a great contribution to the grass-root exchange of Japan and USA.
- Many visitors, especially fashion people made comments that Izukura’s world was astonishing and outrageous. Some mentioned their headaches and fatigues were gone being in Izukura’s works. This shows Izukura’s works never be imperative.
